Why factory curing makes concrete last longer
Temperature, moisture and time decide how strong concrete becomes. In a factory all three can be controlled, and leftovers can be reused.

Concrete keeps gaining strength for weeks after it is poured, but only if it stays warm and damp enough. On an open site, wind and sun can dry the surface before it has properly cured.
Controlled from mould to yard
In the factory, mixes are batched by weight, compacted on vibrating tables and cured under cover. The result is a dense surface with fewer pores for water and salts to enter.
- Steel moulds reused thousands of times instead of timber formwork
- Exact batching that reduces excess cement
- Surplus fresh concrete and wash water returned to production
- Strength tested on samples from every batch
Denser concrete resists freeze–thaw and chemical attack better, which is ultimately what keeps a structure in service.
